When I moved to Dallas 18 months ago (almost to the day - was 18 months on Feb 2), I chose to live in Addison because 4 close friends were already living there & although I do have friends all over DFW, Addison also provided the perk of being just 5 minutes from work & you just can't pass that up, haha! Over the course of these 18 months, so many things have changed & the last remaining Addison friend just said her goodbyes to start a new adventure in Pittsburgh, PA!
I know I've said it before, but it's so strange & somewhat sad to think that people who used to mean the world to you one day become just a distant memory the next. Of those 4 people, there's only one that I'm still in contact with...now she's headed to PA.
That picture pretty much sums up the last 18 months & you know what? As hard as it is to know that those friendships are now just a memory of what used to be, it's opened the door to some great new friendships & relationships that may not have happened if things didn't change!
