I clearly suck at keeping up with posting regularly, which of course I've been saying I would change, but it has yet to happen, haha!
Since my last post in AUGUST, there have been some pretty random things but we'll just cover the big ones:
On Monday, I accepted an offer to become the Senior Division Order Analyst for Wynn-Crosby, a very small Oil & Gas Company here in Dallas...which means that my last day with Merit Energy will be October 31st - what a way to celebrate Halloween, considering that it falls on a Thursday this year, so it isn't really worth going out anyway, haha! This job change comes with a significant promotion, so although it's difficult to walk away from Merit (especially 2 months before year-end bonus time), it's not something that will come along again in the near future & in the words of my favorite Landman & surrogate Mama here in Dallas: YOU'D BE CRAZY NOT TO TAKE IT.
Surprisingly, this offer came out of nowhere because 2 weeks ago, I was all set to leave Merit for a different company but that opportunity fell through last Monday, October 7th, so a friend of mine forwarded my resume to Wynn-Crosby on Tuesday, I interviewed Wednesday & got my offer Thursday of last week! I'm a firm believer of everything happening for a reason & this is definitely one of those times! Wynn-Crosby is just across the Tollway from Merit's offices, which is right on the same street as my new apartment, just a few miles away! That's another change coming up - I move back to Addison on November 1st & start the new job on November 5th, so I have a very busy 2 weeks ahead of me!
Other than the apartment move & job move, there have been a few other exciting things going on too! I spent the beginning of the month in Las Vegas for the 2013 NADOA Conference - horrible place for a conference, I know, it was awful, haha! But the highlights of the trip included an upgrade to a convertible for our rental car, a presentation from Devin Schei with Wounded Warrior Project (which brought a few hundred grown men & women to tears with his story), the conference's 70's themed networking party & my absolute favorite part of the trip: a trip back to HOT N JUICY CRAWFISH!
We discovered Hot N Juicy in 2010 when I went on my first trip to Vegas with ex-bf...it turned out to be the best place I've ever had crawfish & I was so glad to be able to go to the conference with someone who likes crawfish too. Not gonna lie though, I would've gone to Hot N Juicy all by myself if I had to, haha! Here's pics from Hot N Juicy from the 2010 Vegas Trip (the only fun part about the trip).

What else...we also had a surprise weekend with Miss Kinlee that was a blast! She just decided that she wanted to come spend the night, which she's never done before & sure enough, she did great & we had lots of fun spoiling her. Stella & Tig had never been around kids before...they did pretty well but were very happy with Kinlee going home at the end of the weekend, haha! There were dishes done - she washed all of Alex's dishes, paper (and hair) cutting, Tig got time outs in Stella's kennel, the playland at McDonald's even some park time before she headed home.
I just love that little girl :)
That's it for now. I know there's a lot more for me to update, but I think that's enough picture overload for this post.
