I could not have asked for a better way to ring in 2013! No, we didn't do anything exciting like party or brave the madness downtown for fireworks & live music. We stayed home. It was perfect, haha! Sadly, no pictures of Alex & I together so we failed at the obligitory date pictures, but here's a few snapshots of our night.
Alex made us a yummy steak dinner...Stella was just so certain that it was for her & wasn't a happy camper when she realized it wasn't, haha! I'm so blessed to have a boyfriend who loves to cook, makes sure that everything is "safe" for me to eat & is actually a really, really good cook!
Alex's cat, Tigger, loves to mess with Stella. Stella, on the other hand, is terrified of Tigger, haha! She's slowly coming out of her shell of fear, but I'm not sure she'll be as loving with cats as she used to be with Ann's cat, Byron, years ago.

We brought in the New Year with the traditional champagne, which of course made Alex tipsy because he doesn't ever drink (another great thing about him) & I wouldn't have changed a thing!
New Years Day, Alex decided we were going to "go on an adventure" & I wasn't allowed to ask any questions or "Google It", haha! Turns out, we ended up at Sprinkles Cupcakes here in Dallas - their GLUTEN FREE RED VELVET CUPCAKES ARE AMAZING!!! (if you couldn't tell by the mostly devoured cupcake & yes, I finished it, haha)
The cream cheese frosting definitely can't be beat either. It's a good thing that Sprinkles is just far enough away from where I live/work to be inconvenient, otherwise I'd be there all the time.
The rest of the day was just a lazy day full of lots of food (Liberty Burger for lunch & munchies for dinner), lots of nap time & ending it with some Pirates of the Caribbean before calling it a night & heading home.
My sweet man, sleeping on his tiny chair, haha! I'm sure I'll get crap for posting this picture, but it was too cute ♥
Here's to hoping 2013 is a great year that continues to build on the wonderful ending of 2012!
