I’ve had a lot of goals in my life…some I’ve accomplished & others, well, let’s just say I changed & the dreams were part of the “old Lindsay” instead.
OLD/ACHIEVED DREAMS:
- Marry Nick Dollarhide – OLD, haha! I’ve known Nick my entire life – our dad’s worked together starting in 1982! – but no wedding bells in our future (at least not with each other J)
- Play soccer in high school – ACHIEVED – played one year for Arapahoe High School, but quit & ran track instead (no regrets there for sure!)
- Play soccer in college – ACHIEVED – although I originally wanted to play for Texas A&M University, but I quit playing high school soccer after my freshman year & quit playing club soccer my junior year so playing D1 wasn’t exactly an option…I did however walk on at Texas Lutheran University though, earning a starting spot as a forward nearly 2 years after I’d walked away from soccer altogether in 2002!

- Move back to Texas – ACHIEVED – July 9, 2010: broke up with J & decided it was time for me to start living my own life & finally not having to wait to see where J was going to be & what he wanted; April 29, 2011: first phone interview with Merit Energy in Dallas; May 6, 2011: flew to Dallas to have 2nd interview with Merit; June 2, 2011: received my official offer & accepted it June 6, 2011; June 7: gave Encana my 2 week’s notice; July 2, 2011: MOVED TO TEXAS!
FUTURE GOALS:
- Move into a LANDMAN position at work
- Marry an amazing man who may not be perfect, but he’ll be perfect for me J
- Buy a house
- Have babies…lots & lots of babies, haha! (biological, adopted, surrogate…whatever way God wants it to be J)
- Open a gluten free café/restaurant
I still have lots of goals/dreams…now just working on making them a reality J
