Day 21: Something you always think "what if..." about.

It’s really random, but I still think “what if…” we had never moved away from Midland.

My siblings & I were not happy about having to move – especially considering I was 9 weeks into my freshman year of high school when we moved to Colorado & to top it all off, we moved into an area where I didn’t know anyone on my first day of high school because all of the friends I did have from the last time we’d lived in Colorado went to the “opposing” high school. It was just a bad scene in the Froi household for the entire first year following the move. It ended up being fine, but I definitely do still wonder “what if”.

What if we had stayed in Midland? For the most part, I would’ve been completely okay with that: I had a wonderful boyfriend, working on playing varsity soccer at Lee, I loved my church & all the friends I’d made & I was happy with life. BUT…in true Midland fashion, a lot of things changed in high school. I had friends become teen parents, a few friends arrested, a few get into drugs & I wonder if that could’ve been me? Granted, things like that can happen almost anywhere, but I definitely still wonder who I’d be had we stayed.
