In August 2005, I was headed back to TLU in just a few short days for preseason soccer when my 1990 Acura was broken into & the stereo stolen from the console. Granted, my sister was the one driving it by that time, but that was my first car & I still loved it! When all of that happened, my dad decided that we'd give my car - gorgeous red 2001 Accord, my high school graduation present - to my sisters since they were still in high school.
It was all unplanned, but by the end of that week, I was now driving a brand new 5-speed Civic thanks to my Dad :) I love that car & nearly 8 years later, I'm still driving it, pushing 100K miles, after driving it off the lot with only 5 miles on it. If I ever have to give up this car, I'll be one sad girl! It's been so reliable & knowing that because it's a standard transmission car, my sister's can't drive it is a plus too, haha!
Keep on truckin' little Civic! I'm thankful for the reliability & safety of my sweet ride :)
